BONES & BLOOMS

Details

These porcelain pieces have been through a few different processes. Most are unglazed, but a few have been finished with faint celadon glaze. Some have been soda-fired—which is a really cool process where baking soda is sprayed into the kiln during the middle of the kiln firing, reacting with the hot glaze and changing the coloring of the glaze and texture of the clay.

ODD FRIENDS

This collection is inspired by a love of both blooming flowers and bones … and their unusual juxtaposition. (Probably a subconscious tribute to Georgia O’Keefe.) Harsh and soft, living and dying. They’re kind of humorous and cheeky, but quietly beautiful.
